Paglicawan facilitates UNC leadership Capability Building Workshop Series

Vina Paglicawan, an Organizational Development ( O D ) Consultant, a n d former Vice President for Organizational Development for JPMorgan Chase & Co., facilitated the leadership capability building workshop series for University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) administrators and unit heads. The two-month series of workshops (September-October 2016), started with a training needs analysis through focused group discussions and the need for making leadership and management in UNC more fun and extraordinary was articulated. Assertiveness in communicating with others, making powerful feedbacks and coaching were the specific capabilities that were given emphases by Paglicawan. President Alfredo Ayala in his letter to the participants asserted that the capability training workshops are designed to further enhance the skills and competencies of UNC managers. He added that the learning that they derived the workshops are valuable as we all work together towards the attainment of the university strategic goals. The participants adamantly expressed their gratitude to the UNC administration of the opportunities for professional growth, through this training workshop. Dean Sumayo, in an interview, was even very generous in sharing his bunch of learning on the GROW Coaching Model and managing challenging conversations.
